Prometheus

I want to burn
blue

like a vein
contained
by its ribbon
of skin

or that lowly

Prometheus
of chemistry
class

Taut and roaring,
steeped to
a pique

of concert
fury

I will show
you

what hot
is

Burn blue. I like that.

If you really want to burn hot Sarah add plutonium. I was burning hot for years, looking back I miss the fire but have adapted to the coldness I chose.

I can feel the heat blazing from your eyes. Very sharp poem.

I love this and the whole poem!

Charles, thanks again.

Mark, poems are my burning, I guess. Most of the time, I'm just at a pleasant simmer.

Shrinivas, very kind! Thank you.

Melissa, well, that makes my day. :)

Vesper, thank you! Nothing like a little chemistry-inspired wordplay.

I like the image of blue fire. I had to look up Prometheus to find out what you meant. I like the attitude at the end. "I will show you what hot is" that's great. Give it your all... victory :)

"I will show you what hot is, " she said tracing her fingers in circles on his thighs.

Yup, that's the version I'm choosing to remember. It's about time you write something on those lines.

Raj, thank you again! Darn, how did I miss your comments? :)

Aniket, it has been awhile. Not sure why. You've given me something to ponder...
